Yesterday we went to the Tanabata Festival in Hiratsuka. We're still not quite sure exactly why they have it, but it's supposed to celebrate two lover stars. CJ and I went with one of our swimmers from lessons and her mom and had a completely awesome time. I'm going to put up more pictures later because I've been having a little trouble getting photos to load. Enjoy!

I can't remember exactly what this was called, but it was really good. They would take like a small crepe/pancake, fill it with bacon, cabbage and an egg, and then covered it with another egg, corn, bacon and sauces.

They had a couple of these stations, where you would buy a whole fish on a skewer (not sure how the fish was cooked).

Another really cool handmade hangy-things (not sure what they're called). These are made with kimono fabric, and were told probably cost about $3000.

They sold these EVERYWHERE on the street. It's deep-fried spaghetti, sprinkled in what tasted like Red Robin seasoning salt. Super good!
